Around the campfire under African starry skies, study the southern-cross and many other stars. Listen quietly to the orchestra of silence, sounds from the many insects, only experienced in the African bush.
Nguni Africa traverses the southern bulge of the Kruger National Park, covering at least five different eco-zones. We search for the big grazers (buffalo, elephant and white rhino) in the tall thick sourveld grass that is common in the south and cover other habitats during our travels, you could expect to see most of the common game (giraffe, kudu, impala, wildebeest, zebra) and, hopefully, followed by the predators.
This is wild game territory, where some exciting sightings may not be too close, so bring binoculars and remember spare batteries for your camera. The Lowveld winter weather provides crisp evenings and mild sunny days. Dress accordingly in layers, to shed as the day heats up. Summer days start warm and heat up as the day progresses. Bring sun cream, a hat and sunglasses.
